OMG!!!!

What a GREAT concert!!!  I am soooo proud of you all!!!!!  You did such a GREAT job!!!!!  Way to go!  I couldn't be more proud to be your teacher and am so thankful I get to each of you every day!!  Great job you guys!!!  You were awesome!

Dates and End of Quarter

Hi all!

I just wanted to clarify that if the blog calendar has a date that is different than the disclosure you should go with the calendar.  The calendar is the most up to date and most current.

Assignments this week...

Hello!!

I am still missing a very small amount of class Disclosure Statements.  The class that gets a 100% first, will get a little surprise.....

Speech, we will continue with our children's stories and probably start on our speeches this week. :)  We will also decide on our play.

Choirs---yay!!!!  We we get to sing this week!  I need some choreographers, let me know if you're interested.

CONCERT CHOIR!!!!  Sign up for your  Student Led conference Times!

Music Connections--We will finish our listening unit and have a test. AHH!!  Don't worry, it will be easy. :)  We will then start on our sound unit. :)  We have also had some assignments so make sure you check Skyward to ensure that you got credit for work you completed and turned in.

Also, Guitar, keep practicing tuning.  We will continue with our quizzes on that this week and learn some more chords!!

Disclosure Statements

Hello!!!

Don't forget to turn your Disclosure Statements in by Wednesday!!!  I have also posted these on the Blog under the "Disclosure Statement" heading. :)

PS-Guitarists....good news!  Since we have people still getting guitars, you will not have to do a Practice Record until next week. :)

PPS--I saw that some of you were having trouble watching the "Bad Romance" video.  That's because it has been removed from YouTube :(.  I'll see if I can find another version!

More Honors Choir Practice Files

Hi guys and gals!!

I've uploaded the "O Sifuni Mungu" recording from last year's Honors Choir. However, the Love Devine didn't make it to my inbox at home for some reason. I will get it uploaded along with some other accompaniment tracks on Tuesday when we are back. In the meantime, practice your parts individually. Remember to shoot for an hour of practice before Tuesday!! You guys are doing GREAT!!! Keep up the hard work!

Wow!!!

We have soo much talent and it was very difficult to select 16 singers for Honors Choir this year!!! You all did soooo well!!!! Remember, I need a signed copy of your Commitment form on Monday. I have provided a link to this form below so that you can reprint it home if needed.

Honors Choir Commitment Form

I have selected 4 singers for each part. For the sopranos and altos I have selected 2 alternates. If you are an alternate you are not required to be to 10 rehearsals, but it is strongly recommended so that if it turns out that you are needed you are ready. I have also selected Section Leaders for each section. These people may be put in charge of running a sectional at times. These people are people who have demonstrated an ability to lead others and play the piano well enough to play their own part.

Thank you again, to all of you who auditioned!!!! If you were not selected this year, please try again next year. This is something that will happen every year!!

If you have tried all this and need a practice CD, let me know. Please email me before Monday so that I can have them ready for you at our practice on Monday.

Hi guys!! Sorry I didn't get everything posted yet, but by tomorrow night it will all be on here. The practice files for O Sifuni Mungu are on here, which are the ones you want to pay attention to the most before auditions. Don't worry about learning the foreign words. Learn the notes! Sing everything on "Ta" or "La" or "Doo". Any random word! :) Good luck!!!

Last Day of the Quarter

-sigh- Can you believe it!!!??! Quarter 2 is done??? Concert Choir you know I love you guys and I am really looking forward to these next two quarters. You guys are awesome, and we are going to rock at festival!!! (And I know our lst concert is going to be soo fun!!)
